- [Establishment of the Board](https://ukmssb.org/establishment-of-the-board/): Establishment of the Board The establishment of the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board at Dehradun, by an Act enacted by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and assented by the Governor on 06 April 2015 by the Uttarakhand Govt-Act-No108/xxxvi(3)/2015/26(1)/2015 to fulfills the long standing need of the people of Uttarakhand to have highest level medical facility.
- [Authentication of the orders of the Board](https://ukmssb.org/authentication-of-the-orders-of-the-board/): Authentication of the orders of the Board   All the decisions and orders of the Board shall be authenticated by the signature of the Secretary or may other officer authorized by the Board in this behalf.  
- [Secretary of the Board](https://ukmssb.org/secretary-of-the-board/): Secretary of the Board   (1)     There shall be a Secretary of the Board appointed by the State Government, who shall be the Head of the Office of the Board. (2)     The Secretary shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be specified in the rules or regulations made under this Act or as may be directed by the Chairman
- [Proceeding of the Board not to be invalidated](https://ukmssb.org/proceeding-of-the-board-not-to-be-invalidated-2/): Proceeding of the Board not to be invalidated   No act or proceeding to the Board shall be deemed to be invalid merely on the ground of- (a)  any vacancy or defect in the constitution of the Board; (b)  any defect or irregularity in the appointment of a person acting as the Chairman or other Member thereof; or (c)  any defect or irregularity in such act or proceeding not affecting the substance.  
- [Power to Associate](https://ukmssb.org/power-to-associate/): Power to Associate.   The Board may associate with itself, in such manner and for such purposes as may be determined by regulations made under this Act, any person whose assistance or advice it may desire to have in carrying out any of the provision of this Act.
- [Disqualification for being the Chairman or other Member](https://ukmssb.org/disqualification-for-being-the-chairman-or-other-member/): Disqualification for being the Chairman or other Member   A person shall be disqualified for appointment as chairman or other member if he- (a) becomes an undischarged insolvent; (b) is convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for an offence which in the opinion of the State Government, involves moral turpitude; (c) becomes of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent court.
- [Appointment of Chairman and Member](https://ukmssb.org/258-2/): Appointment of Chairman and Member   The Chairman shall be a person of national/state repute in the field of medical health and medical education, shall be appointed by the state Government. Director General medical Health and family Welfare of Uttarakhand and Director Medical Education Government of Uttarakhand shall be designated members of the board. The Board may co-opt 4 to 5 Specialists from the field of medical health.
